Article on the use of MUAC tapes by parents and caregivers monitor their children’s nutritional status. In Indonesia, 6.2 million children under five – about 10. 2 % – are wasted, or acutely malnourished, the third highest number in the Asia-Pacific region. In East Nusa Tenggara Province where Jevan and his family live, more than 12% of children suffer from wasting, while 42 % suffer from stunting, or chronic malnutrition.
