Article on report 'Unlocking the lockdown: The gendered effects of COVID-19 on achieving the SDGs in Asia and the Pacific' that lays out the gendered consequences of the pandemic across Asia and the Pacific through conducting rapid assessment surveys in 11 countries in the region. The surveys were rolled out in April 2020, two weeks after COVID-19 was declared a pandemic. Data highlighted in this article include: access to COVID-19 information, affected mental/emotional health, access to doctors and necessary products, health insurance coverage, reduced working hours or lost jobs, time spent on unpaid care and domestic work, increases in help with household chores and unpaid care for family members, and increases/decreases in resources among resource-users, all since the spread of COVID-19.
